CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR – SOUTH-EAST QLD

ABOUT US Contour is a privately owned professional consulting firm established on the Sunshine Coast over 20 years ago.  We are a leading provider of multi-disciplinary engineering services to a wide range of industry sectors.  Since establishment, Contour have grown in size and expanded our reach to provide services throughout South-East Qld and beyond. Our teams work on a wide array of infrastructure projects including residential, commercial and industrial developments and subdivisions, roads and intersections, stormwater drainage, water and sewer, sporting facilities and community infrastructure.  Our clients include private developers, local councils and state authorities. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise civil and structural construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and provide clear, practical direction to contractors
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, and safety outcomes
  • Identify and manage construction issues, providing practical and timely solutions
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, local authorities, and internal design teams
  • Review engineering drawings and provide feedback on constructability and methodology
  • Assist with contract administration, including progress assessments, variations, and reporting
  • Support project delivery by ensuring works are completed compliantly, efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
  • Contribute practical construction knowledge back into the design process

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team, supporting the delivery of civil and structural works across multiple projects.

This is a hands-on, site-focused role responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs and specifications, and acting as a key link between contractors, clients, and our engineering team.

  The role will predominantly involve site-based and remote supervision across South-East Queensland, including Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Brisbane, Logan, Somerset and Gatton regions.

ABOUT YOU 

You are an experienced and practical Construction Supervisor who understands how projects are delivered on site and can confidently manage contractors and stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

  • 5+ years’ experience supervising civil construction projects (roads, stormwater, sewer, water infrastructure)
  • Experience with structural elements including concrete, steel, and timber construction
  • Strong understanding of SEQ Council and Water authority requirements, standards, and Australian Standards
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience in contract administration (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with contractors and clients
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel across project sites in South-East Queensland
